Day 16-Atonement Insight

Alma preached, "I say unto you, ye will know at that day that you cannot be saved; for there can no man be saved except his garments are washed white; yea, his garments must be purified until they are cleansed from all stain, through the blood of him of whom it has been spoken by our fathers, who should come to redeem his people from their sins."(Amla 5:21) The entire chapter refers to the atonement. The verse above discusses clean garments which represent purity, cleanliness, and salvation. If we don't repent of our sins and allow our garments to be washed white through blood of the Lamb, we will stand before God with filthy and stained garments. The formula for clean garments is simple "Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."(Matt. 3:2) We must all be purified and repent all of our lives, and I know not one who is exempt from this formula.
